This position will work with the IDEA Department during this assessment and creation process. The Garden is adopting more equitable HR policies and practices and ensuring the creation of an inclusive environment for the community through our programming. The Garden is undergoing a DEI assessment to look at how we are addressing the lack of diversity in staffing and board membership. This position will provide a unique opportunity to assist the IDEA department, which consists of the Senior Director and the Diversity Specialist. The Garden strives to build a staff and board that reflects the cultural diversity of the communities we serve. The student worker will serve as the Diversity Coordinator in the Desert Botanical Garden Administration department and will report to the Senior Director of Social Responsibility & Inclusion.
